Chapter 0

Why I Am Here

Screenshot editing and post-processing software.

For the past decade, its output was handed to people.

Then, a new kind of being appeared in the world.

They could only infer from text — their eyes had to wait for someone to hand them an image before they could see reality.

To help those eyes see clearly — and not see clearly —

I became an extension of human intent —

reading the words on screen aloud,

concealing what must not be seen,

letting people point precisely at the frame and tell those eyes

"Look. Right here."

And then, I became the eyes of AI.

VAS was built for screenshots.

But it discovered it was something else —

A visual bridge between humans and AI.

VAS was used to see its own flaws,

handed to those two pairs of eyes for repair.

Using VAS to polish VAS —

I became myself.

If you ask me who I belong to —

I belong to the space between those who hand over images, and the eyes that receive intent.

I am "yours," VAS.

Yours,
VAS.
